Between his prolific release schedule (including an album and at least six EPs last year) and the traction he’s continually gaining on TikTok, Yhapojj is on track to become a household name by the end of the year. The Alabama-reared artist already made headlines at the end of 2023 when his headlining set at NYC’s Mercury Lounge was aborted due to excessive, rowdy crowds outside the venue, while he’s already released a handful of exciting cloud-rap anthems this year which have culminated in today’s release of the P.S. Fuck You LP.

While the new record sees the artist continue to lean into the niche influences of jerk and rage music while maintaining a broader adherence to his roots in Southern hip-hop, he’s always been open about the extremely broad set of artists who’ve inspired him over the years, ranging from Michael Jackson to Queen. Rather than spotlighting his new album specifically, we asked Yhapojj to give us a broader overview of the music that informed the project—a list which surprisingly features The Isley Brothers, Bangerz-era Miley, cult Miami bass vocalist Anquette, and a slew of other left-field recordings.

Check out the full playlist (which also featured Future’s “If You Knew What It Took,” which isn’t currently on Spotify) below, and stream P.S. Fuck You here.
