Just a month after sharing a new single entitled “Vintage,” Moses Sumney has dropped another new track, “Gold Coast.” Both songs will be featured on a new EP called Sophcore, set to be released on August 2 via his own label, Tuntum. The sultry, dancefloor-ready electronic track features papery bass and a beautiful, R&B-inspired vocal performance from Sumney. The track arrives shortly after the release of MaXXXine, the film he stars in with Mia Goth, Kevin Bacon, and Halsey, among others.
Speaking about the new EP, Sumney said: “Sophcore explores the meeting points between sensuality and intuition…esotericism and populism…deep feeling and fun. It’s diving into subterranean rhythm, bass and drums, and making music for the hips as well as the heart.”
