Orville Peck, the pop-country guy with all those masks, is gearing up to release a star-studded new collection of duets titled Stampede, building upon the seven tracks he released at the beginning of the summer featuring Elton John, Willie Nelson, Allison Russell, and more. With plenty still to look forward to, today he’s sharing his track with Beck called “Death Valley High” which melds the two artist’s styles: Peck’s occasionally outlandish outlaw country (venturing into Elvis territory here) and Beck’s funky guitar music with a tendency for rap breaks.
