Katie Gavin, who sings in alt-pop band MUNA, has announced that she’ll be releasing her debut solo album, What a Relief, via Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory Records on October 25. To celebrate the news, Gavin has dropped the project’s first single, “Aftertaste.” The track kicks off with a ’90s-alt acoustic guitar lick before Gavin’s powerful vocals take center stage. “Don’t you tell me that it’s too late / You’re the only reason I came here / You’re the only reason it’s so clear to me now,” she sings.

“I thought this song would be a good place to start because to me it kind of serves as a bridge, sonically and thematically, between MUNA’s world and the world we are going to with the solo record,” Gavin said of the track.
