LP Giobbi and Brittany Howard hit the dancefloor on new single “Until There’s Nothing Left,” which is set to be featured on Giobbi’s new LP Dotr. The track is built around Howard’s unimpeachable voice, and Giobbi uses her EDM background to build and release tension courtesy of a bevy of synthesizers. When the boom boom hits, you know it’s time to drop whatever you‘re doing and take that plane to Ibiza.
Regarding the track, Giobbi said: “I first saw Brittany Howard when Alabama Shakes performed more than a decade ago at Oakland’s Fox Theater where I was working. Partnering on the Shakes’ ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ was a dream for me; the result feels like an epiphany, Brittany’s voice rising above spirals of synth like a prayer delivered onto the dancefloor.”
