UK duo Good Neighbours are gearing up for the release of their self-titled debut EP next month via Capitol Records by embarking on their first-ever North America tour. Through the end of the week, the indie-pop outfit will be road testing the tracks that make up their forthcoming collection of aughts-indie nostalgia that’s equal parts homage to bands like MGMT and Passion Pit and a unique look at what the future of this lane of music may have in store.
Before the Good Neighbours EP drops on October 4, and before their tour wraps up this coming Sunday in Arizona, the duo recorded a new episode of “Hacked” for us, where they spin late-’00s/early-’10s jams by groups like Yeasayer and Local Natives along with more contemporary iterations of these sounds by The Dare and Hippo Campus (there’s also an appearance from Sabrina Carpenter, whose “Espresso” the duo recently covered for Triple J’s “Like a Version” series). Tune in every day this week (September 9 – 13) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. to catch the show, only on FLOOD FM.
