Coming off a momentous summer that featured a slot at Lollapalooza, a massive Red Rocks set, and soundtrack placement on one of the summer’s biggest blockbusters, Wilderado are only just getting started with the latest chapter of the project. This Friday, the Tulsa-via-LA indie-pop trio will be releasing their sophomore album Talker, which sees them going deeper into their uniquely vibrant alt-folk aesthetic. “I’m proud to say we made an album that feels like home and weathers who we are,” shared the band’s frontman Max Rainer.
Before the record drops this Friday, the band will be taking over FLOOD FM’s “Hacked” all week with a playlist outlining how contemporary folk luminaries like Waxahatchee and Adrianne Lenker, as well as alt-rock predecessors including Delta Spirit and Kings of Leon and songwriting icons such as Bruce Springsteen and Harry Nilsson, paved the way for them. Check out the episode every day this week (September 16 – 20) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. only on FLOOD FM.
