Almost 20 years to the day since the release of their sophomore album Antics, Interpol have announced a 20th anniversary edition of the LP that will be available in various iterations and released on different days (supply chain, baby!). Coming later this year via Matador, this project contains plenty o’ goodies, including the record itself (obviously), a B-side titled “Direction,” and a live recording and video of the band’s 2005 performance at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes. While that latter item has supposedly never been seen or heard, good luck telling that to the people who were presumably at the show.
Here’s the dealio: A three-LP box set that includes the album, a 30-page photo book, and the sports-palace concert are available for pre-order now, though delivery is expected in early 2025. A limited-edition single-LP red-vinyl reissue will arrive on October 25.
Check out the band’s Mexico City performance of “Slow Hands” below (is that an audience I see and hear?), and pre-order the 20th anniversary edition of Antics here.
