It’s taking us a little while to adjust to this brave new world—which is much like the old world—in which new releases from Aphex Twin are a regular occurrence. Today, Richard D. James announced the Orphaned Deejay Selek (2006–2008) EP, which, as Consequence of Sound points out, is James’ first release under his AFX moniker since 2006’s compilation Chosen Lords.

Orphaned Deejay Selek (2006–2008) is James’ fifth release in the past nine months: in addition to Syro, his triumphant return, he’s put out another EP as Aphex Twin, and he dropped (and then removed) a massive amount of unreleased music on Soundcloud, where he also released a synth-based LP (also removed).

You can listen to Orphaned single “serge fenix Rendered 2” over at the site of James’ label, Warp.
