To call LP Giobbi a master of many trades would be an understatement. She's a classically-trained jazz pianist, accomplished electronic music producer and songwriter, euphoria-inducing live DJ, label head of yes yes yes, and founder of the non-profit organization Femme House (which fosters "more equitable opportunity for women and gender-expansive individuals in music").
She's spent much of this year bringing her enthralling live show to festivals around the world—including Portola, Life is Beautiful, and Electric Forest (where she took us behind the scenes for her Backstage Camera Roll feature)—yet somehow also found time to record her just-released boundary-jumping new album, Dotr (pronounced "daughter). Out now via Ninja Tune/Counter Records, the album features guest spots with Portugal. The Man, Brittany Howard, and Danielle Ponder, among others.
To celebrate the release, LP Giobbi is taking over FLOOD FM this week for the latest episode of "Hacked," telling stories and spinning tunes from SOFI TUKKER, Four Tet, Fleetwood Mac, The Octopus Project, Goose, and more, along with her own selections from Dotr.
You can catch the episode everyday this week (October 21 – 25) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. only on FLOOD FM.
FLOOD FM is available to stream via Apple Music, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, Live365, Sonos Radio, and Amazon Music.
