Somewhat in the spirit of her 2021 collection of ’80s covers, Aisles, Angel Olsen has announced something new and fun and unexpected. On December 6, the songwriter will be unveiling Cosmic Waves Volume 1 via her own somethingscosmic label. The project is a hybrid of sorts: Side A features brand new songs hand-picked by Olsen from Poppy Jean Crawford, Coffin Prick, Sarah Grace White, Camp Saint Helene, and Maxim Ludwig, while side B is a collection of covers from said artists, performed and recorded by Olsen.

To celebrate the news, Olsen has unveiled “Glamorous” by Crawford, alongside her own cover of Crawford’s “The Takeover.” Check out both below, and pre-order Cosmic Waves Volume 1 here. You can read more about the release here.
