Angel Deradoorian first came to prominence as bassist and vocalist for the Bitte Orca-era Dirty Projectors, and she’s since played with Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks, sang on Flying Lotus‘ “Siren Song,” and worked with everyone from Vampire Weekend to Björk to The Roots.

Now, she’s sharing a live video for “A Beautiful Woman,” the first single from her solo debut as DeradoorianThe Expanding Flower Planet. The video finds Deradoorian and another musician stitching the song together using drums, vocals, bass, and a carefully timed delay pedal, creating a tapestry of beats and pulses. Deradoorian has also announced a string of dates opening for Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier. Try to wrap your head around the video for “A Beautiful Woman,” then check out The Expanding Flower Planet‘s track list and those dates below.
