For as long as he’s been a member of Charleston, South Carolina’s Americana ensemble SUSTO, songwriter Johnny Delaware has also been releasing solo recordings that venture into similar realms of roots- and folk-rock. His exploratory third full-length collection of songs, Para Llevar, was released last month via Normaltown and New West Records, and it compiled 10 “nomadic” tracks recorded across the US, Mexico, and various other corners of Latin America with the sounds of each stop on his journey clearly finding their way into the music. 

Back home in the States, Delaware filmed a “Neighborhoods” session outside the Normaltown/New West offices in Athens, Georgia, where he strums through the tracks “Jungle Full of Ghosts” and “Running” from his new LP. Check out the performance below.
