Though Röyksopp released Nebulous Nights back in December—an ambient collection softening the songs on their 2022 triple-LP Profound Mysteries—the electronic duo of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland are already gearing up for what’s next. They’ve announced that their forthcoming collection True Electric is due out on April 11 via Dog Triumph. First single “What Else Is There?” features Fever Ray and is a club-ready anthem with bubbling synths and a propulsive bassline; plenty of room remains for Fever Ray’s always-thrilling vocal performance.
True Electric is a collection of 19 studio versions of songs from the duo’s “True Electric” tour in 2023. The album will also feature previously unreleased track “The ‘R’” as well as reworked versions of originals and remixes taken from throughout their discography.
