Good Music—the series of digital-only benefit compilation albums created by Dave Eggers and Brilliant Corners Artist Management’s Jordan Kurland at the onset of the pandemic—has announced Good Music to Lift Los Angeles, a massive 90-song collection aimed to support communities impacted by the LA fires via California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund and the LA Food Bank. The album will be available for only 24 hours exclusively on Bandcamp this Friday, February 7, starting at midnight PT. Bandcamp will also donate 100 percent of their share of the album’s sales to MusiCares to support those affected by the wildfires.

Artists contributing to the compilation include Animal Collective, Blondshell, Chelsea Wolfe, Cold War Kids, Courtney Barnett, Dawes, Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service, Faye Webster, FIDLAR, Friko, HEALTH, Hippo Campus, The Hold Steady, Interpol, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, Jeff Tweedy, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Little Dragon, Local Natives, Mac DeMarco’s “Piece of the Fuck,” Madi Diaz, Manchester Orchestra, Miya Folick, MJ Lenderman, Modest Mouse, Momma, My Morning Jacket, The New Pornographers, Perfume Genius, Porches, PUP, Real Estate, R.E.M., Silversun Pickups, Soccer Mommy, Spiritual Cramp, Tenacious D, Toro y Moi, TV on the Radio, Ty Segall, The War on Drugs, Water From Your Eyes, and plenty more.

“We only had a few weeks to put this compilation together and are absolutely humbled by the contributions,” noted Good Music co-founder Kurland. “Music is a healing force and we hope this collection of songs, in addition to raising much needed recovery funds, provides some solace.”
