Vancouver-based emo-pop-punk-soul-rock-etc.-etc. songwriter EKKSTACY has announced that his new project, Forever, will arrive on May 16 via UnitedMasters. On the project’s newly released lead single, “Keep My Head Down,” the 22-year-old artist begins with an acoustic guitar riff that slowly gets accented by a meandering electric line and hushed drums as little spoonfuls of shoegaze abound. Stacy sings: “I was young once / I miss it so much, where’d that go? / I have all these friends / But there’s so much of me I don't show.”

This new era for EKKSTACY arrives shortly after it was announced that he’s been nominated for a 2025 JUNO Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Check out “Keep My Head Down” below, and revisit our profile on Stacy from last January here.
