There’s no place in the world quite like the Hollywood Bowl. With its majestic setting in the Hollywood Hills and consistently eclectic event bookings, the Bowl is truly one of LA’s most cherished institutions. The LA Phil has released their full 2025 summer season schedule for the venue, and as usual, their wide-ranging offerings provide something for everyone, with concerts across the spectrum of classical, pop, rock, hip-hop, jazz, Broadway, and film music.
Some events we’re excited about include Roots Picnic (featuring The Roots with Lil’ Kim, Method Man & Redman, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, DJ Quik, Raekwon, and more), the Blue Note Jazz Festival (with Grace Jones, Isley Brothers, De La Soul, and Stanley Clarke, among others), Afrobeat superstar Wizkid with Derrick Hodge and the Color of Noize Orchestra, the return to the Bowl of Aussie shapeshifters King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Alabama Shakes’ first LA show in eight years with support from Shannon and the Clams, French band Air with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra performing Moon Safari, and Brooklyn indie rockers Big Thief. Plus, there’s legends galore with nights on deck including appearances from Herbie Hancock, Diana Ross, John Fogerty, Earth, Wind & Fire, Juanes, Charlie Wilson, and Cyndi Lauper, among an extensive schedule of classical, jazz, and movie-music themed nights.
While it’s been a challenging start to 2025 in Los Angeles, the return of Bowl season is a grand example of the vast culture and community our city provides. “The start of 2025 has been a profound reminder of the strength and resilience of Los Angeles,” stated Kim Noltemy, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association. “Many of our orchestra members, guest artists and community members have been deeply impacted by this moment, and we are grateful to the dedicated firefighters, service workers and broader community whose efforts help keep LA strong. Their dedication and perseverance inspire us as we look ahead to a 2025 Bowl season that unites the world’s greatest talent with moments of joy, discovery and celebration all summer long.”
Tickets for the Hollywood Bowl 2025 summer season are available online, with single-ticket sales for most events offered on May 6 at 10:00 a.m. PST.
