Before LA-based quartet Niis properly introduce us to their leather-jacket-punk world via their debut album Niis World at the end of the month, we’re getting one final preview of the record via the tightly constructed turbo post-punk of new single “BYD.” Barely clocking in at two and a half minutes, the track wastes no time in plowing into its initial anthemic chorus 40 seconds in.
And if for some reason any of the above descriptions conjured equestrian imagery, you may not be surprised to see that director Meriel O’Connell’s vision for “BYD” brings the band to a farm on a rainy day, where they can be seen shredding in the company of—if not riding atop—horses.
