The Hives forever, forever The Hives, forever and always, indeed. Translation: The Hives are back with a new LP titled The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, which is set to be released on August 29 via PIAS. There are lots of fun things about this album: It was recorded in Yung Lean/YEAR0001’s Riksmixningsverket studios, making for one of the funniest what-ifs in music history. Also, Mike D helped out on some of the production, as did Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme. “A new record so full of energy, joy, anger and life that you will be questioning reality as you have known it,” the band shared of the release. There you have it.
The album’s first single, “Enough is Enough,” is out now. Regarding the single, they added: “The Hives declare, ‘Who in their right mind would start a song like this?’ No one but The Hives. They are here again sooner than you expected and they have had enough of everyone at this point. Hence the title. Dig? Dig.”
