After celebrating 30 years of their debut album last year, Swedish punks Refused have opted to call it quits. And rather than fading out quietly, or self-destructing quite publicly, the band is making a graceful exit with a string of shows planned through the beginning of next week here in North America, with their legacy living on in the various corners of punk they’ve inspired (not to mention future seasons of The Bear).
And this exit tour is anything but quiet—while all we have to show for it is FLOOD photographer Skylar Watkins’ beautifully vibrant photo recap of their set the other night at Del Mar Fairgrounds outside of San Diego, frontman Dennis Lyxzén’s dramatic performance (and high kicks) do plenty of talking.
