Over the course of last year, Lana Del Rey teased a new country album that originally was announced under the title “Lasso,” but was later officially revealed to be named The Right Person Will Stay. We haven’t gotten much in the way of updates since Lana’s November Instagram post confirming the latter info, though today she dropped what is presumably the project’s first single, “Henry, come on.” The press release shares little more than what was already revealed of the album (co-writing credit for Luke Laird, co-production credit for Drew Erickson), and curiously makes no mention of the album itself [Update: As of this afternoon, Lana has confirmed yet another title/date change for the record].

The track, though, is almost eerily on par with the promises made by the phrase “Lana Del Rey country album”—a comfortable balance between the songwriter’s prior material with a melancholy C&W lilt that likely wouldn’t anger either fanbase. Check it out below, and you can probably still expect a full album at some point later this year.
