Ibe Van Bouchaute is a Belgian-born, LA-based creative director and photographer working within an emerging music scene. From shooting in low-lit venues across Prague to touring the world with international artists, Ibe has steadily built a visual language rooted in authenticity, intimacy, and a deep sense of nostalgia.

One of her standout projects is Trajectories, a music video she directed for Bruno Major. Shot entirely from the passenger seat of a tour bus, the video unfolds like a soft, cinematic diary—full of dreamlike, fleeting scenes that echo the song’s meditation on love, distance, and the inevitability of people growing apart. It’s a quiet, powerful visual that perfectly complements Bruno’s introspective tone.

Ibe’s creative eye also helped shape the world of slimdan’s debut album, Second Dinner. From the start, the project leaned into a lo-fi, deeply personal aesthetic. The album artwork—shot on an iPhone—is a playful homage to Where’s Wally?, set in Dodgers Stadium, and instantly sets the tone for what’s to come: quirky, clever, and full of heart.

That worldbuilding extended into slimdan’s live shows, where Ibe helped design stage visuals that featured live webcam feeds, hand-painted graphics, and a 15-minute intro scene captured entirely on a security camera. The result was a blurred line between performance and real life, giving audiences a feeling of stepping into slimdan’s world rather than just watching from the outside.

Everything came full circle with (second) Second Dinner, slimdan’s deluxe album featuring collaborations with Lennon Stella, Devon Again, and Medium Build. To announce it, they leaned once again into security cam footage—this time capturing each artist arriving at an actual “second dinner” party. It’s this kind of detail—playful, intimate, and grounded in storytelling—that defines Ibe’s visual approach.

Whether it's a candidly shot on the road or a carefully-crafted visual universe, Ibe Van Bouchaute brings a sense of closeness and creativity to everything she touches.
