Next week, synth-spiked jangle-rockers Spacey Jane will release their third full-length album, If That Makes Sense, a bold new step for the Australian quartet both instrumentally and lyrically as they explore ideas pertaining to the breaking and mending of hearts. Sonically, nostalgia plays a significant role in the record, with everything from ’80s new wave to ’00s indie rock accounted for on these songs.
Ahead of the album’s release, the band is taking over FLOOD FM’s “Hacked” this week to go a little deeper into some of their influences. From Prefab Sprout to Mavis Staples to Phoebe Bridgers with plenty of indie-rock staples in between, check out the their full playlist every day this week (April 28 – May 2) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. PT only on FLOOD FM.
