The annual High Water Festival returned to scenic Riverfront Park in Charleston this past weekend, marking their first year without the fest’s founders and curators Shovel & Rope being involved in the proceedings. The overall lineup didn’t have the same synergy as years past, but the excitement level was high throughout the two-day event, with fans embracing both established names (Lord Huron, Waxahatchee, Mt. Joy) and rising newcomers (filpturn, Gigi Perez, Goldie Boutilier), along with the Julien Baker faithful showing up to support her new country project with TORRES.
