NYC trio Sunflower Bean have kept busy this year, returning to the States after a European/UK tour playing shows alongside Cage the Elephant only to immediately head to Austin for SXSW, then drop their fourth album, Mortal Primetime. Naturally, they’re gearing up for another tour to properly introduce that record to North American audiences later this month, with a set of dates currently keeping them occupied through late June.
Before that tour kicks off May 15 in Troy, New York, the trio is taking over FLOOD FM all this week with a new “Hacked” episode striking a familiar balance between grunge (Sonic Youth, Hole), classic rock (Heart, The Kinks), and balladeers both past (Warren Zevon, Nick Drake) and contemporary (Joanna Sternberg, Belle and Sebastian). Check out the full episode when it airs every day this week (May 5 – 9) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. only on FLOOD FM. You can also check out Sunflower Bean’s upcoming tour dates here.
