Moses Sumney and Paramore’s Hayley Williams have teamed up for a new single entitled “I Like It I Like It,” which was written by Sumney and co-produced with quickly, quickly and Rob Bisel. On the track, Moses cooks over a patient, sultry, funk-soul instrumental, singing bars like: “I turn cactus when we touch.” Hell yeah. Great line. Williams adds some serious muscle during the chorus, giving the track an anthemic resolve that helps link the fractured nature of its ruminating first section.
Regarding the song, Sumney said: “Hayley Williams and Paramore underscored a large part of my anxious youth, so when I was writing this song about having an angsty crush on someone, I knew there would be no better person to sing it with than the queen of yearning. I’m glad we get to get soulful together.”
