After we caught up with Lucy Dacus in March for her FLOOD cover story, the songwriter hit the road for her most expansive tour to date. The Forever Is a Feeling tour kicked off on April 16 in Philadelphia and extends through the end of September, hitting cities throughout North America and Europe along the way. The first leg of the trip includes support from MUNA’s Katie Gavin and jasmine.4.t, and this week it landed in Los Angeles for two nights at the iconic Greek Theatre.

Under an elaborate stage design featuring stunning large digital paintings, Dacus’ 19-song set list spotlighted songs from Forever Is a Feeling, along with several cuts from her back catalog (“Hot & Heavy,” “I Don’t Want to Be Funny Anymore,” “Nonbeliever”), and a guest appearance from Madison Cunningham who filled in for Hozier on “Bullseye.” During a brief technical difficulty, Dacus also hosted an impromptu Q&A in which we learned her favorite cookie is chocolate chip. It got deep.

Earlier in the night, Gavin joined jasmine.4.t during her set, and Jasmine returned the favor to perform during Gavin’s set. Take a look at photos spanning the evening below, revisit Dacus’ FLOOD cover story, and don’t miss your final chance to score a limited-edition poster of the cover to benefit Trans Lifeline here.
