Sweetness, Becca Harvey’s sophomore album under the indie-pop solo moniker girlpuppy, is a collaborative affair between producer/co-writer Alex Farrar helping to push the project across the finish line with his signature grunge-pop varnish and various contributions across the album, such as Horse Jumper of Love’s Dimitri Giannopoulos joining Harvey on vocals for “In My Eyes.” Likewise, the Sweetness tour has been something of a group project, with each US date immediately following the album’s March 28 release—Brooklyn, LA, and Harvey’s hometown of Atlanta—featuring a carefully curated pair of opening acts.
For her Los Angeles show at Moroccan Lounge, girlpuppy was joined by Jackie Hayes and FLOODfest alum Sedona, to say nothing of the celebrity sightings at the merch table and in the green room lining Harvey’s photo recap of the night. With girlpuppy currently back on the road in the UK, Harvey (along with photographer Mick Jacobs) shared her photo highlights from the night of the Moroccan Lounge show with us, which you can check out below.
