Belgian techno star Charlotte de Witte is preparing to unveil her debut full-length album later this year, yet she’s already become a global force in dance music, headlining venues and festivals around the world. On May 29, she’s offering another preview of the album with the second single, “No Division,” and last week she took over New York City with six shows in four days at locations both intimate (Public Records) and vast (The Great Hall at Avant Gardner)—not to mention unconventional (the Williamsburg bridge)—around the city. “Launching this single while I’m in New York feels symbolic,” she revealed. “There’s something about the city, its chaos, its diversity, its constant movement, that perfectly mirrors the spirit of ‘No Division.’ It’s a place where differences collide and coexist.”
FLOOD photographer Dutch Doscher joined de Witte to capture the scene and energy both on stage and off at The Ruins at Knockdown Center in Queens this past Saturday. Take a look at some photos from the event below, and pre-save “No Division” here.
