Australia’s Miami Horror landed on the bloghouse scene in 2010 with their debut album Illumination, a synthpop and nu-disco opus that featured Neon Indian’s Alan Palomo on a handful of its tracks. After five years lapsed between their follow-up in 2015, it was another full decade before we heard from them again this past February with their much-welcomed return LP We Always Had Tomorrow, arriving via their new label home of Nettwerk.
In honor of that release, the duo will be taking over the FLOOD FM airwaves this week with a new episode of “Hacked” that spans decades, with the artists Miami Horror grew up on (e.g. Mazzy Star) landing alongside their contemporaries (The Avalanches, Giraffage) as well as the latest crop of unique voices within the electronic music sphere (SG Lewis, Jungle). Check out their takeover every day this week (June 9 – 13) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. only on FLOOD FM.
