It isn’t unusual in the mid-2020s that a band no one’s heard from in decades has suddenly made a dramatic return. It is fairly uncommon, though, when nobody had ever even heard of that band by the time they’d called it quits prior to releasing a debut album. The return of Panchiko in 2020 after the UK dream-pop group’s experimental 2000 promo EP D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L slowly caught fire online was among the most unexpected non-supervirus-related revelations of that year, with the two albums they’ve released since then drafting on their penchant for the unexpected. I mean, there’s a billy woods feature on this past April’s Ginkgo.

In the midst of all this chaos, the band is selling out tours across the world, with a recent headlining set at Hollywood Palladium being among their latest conquests. If you weren’t lucky enough to attend that gig in person, we asked the band to document their evening in photos. Scroll on for vocalist Owain Davies’ pre-show elixir of choice, killer bootleg tees, a cameo from Wisp, and more.

Just three normal, innocent men.

Our chum Nat from the celebrity pop band Wisp!

Owain preparing his turbo-powered Throat Coat tea before double dropping Vocal Zone sweets!

Buying unofficial Panchiko merch from the street vendors of LA. Good quality shirt, nice price—would purchase again!

Perhaps the most glorious specimen of an elderly gentleman in the world.
