Wishy hit the ground running back in 2023 with a pair of EPs that saw co-founders Kevin Krauter and Nina Pitchkites (a.k.a. Push Pop) combining their songwriting forces to create a compelling blend of dreamy power-pop and baggy revivalism. What started as a joint operation quickly evolved into a full-band project, with their earworm-heavy debut full-length Triple Seven arriving back in August, followed by plenty of touring (including a stop on our own FLOODfest stage this year at SXSW).
Given that their grunge-tinged stars rose around the same time, they felt like an ideal tour partner for Momma, who recently embarked on a set of dates promoting their own new LP, Welcome to My Blue Sky. With plenty of cameos from friends—including songwriter Lily Seabird, as well as members of Robber Robber, Dari Bay, Carinae, Sub*T, Plastic, and Guitar—check out Wishy’s recap of their recently wrapped joint tour below, as detailed by Pitchkites. The band will be hitting Milwaukee this week for summerfest, and heading to Chicago in September for Riot Fest—find more info on both dates here.
