To celebrate their 25th anniversary as a band, Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been playing a series of intimate theater dates—including stops in the San Francisco, Chicago, Nashville, and LA, as well as abroad in the UK and Mexico—and just wrapped up the run with three shows at the Beacon Theatre in New York this week (in addition to a stop at Newport Folk Festival over the weekend). Dubbed the “Hidden in Pieces Tour,” the shows have showcased orchestral reinterpretations of their catalog, including many rarely performed deep cuts along with their biggest hits. It was appropriate that this series of unique shows culminated in NYC, where it all began for the trio in the early 2000s.
