Of Monsters and Men have announced that their first new album in six years, All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade, will arrive on October 17. Following the release of album-opener “Television Love” last month, the new era is led by their self-produced second single, “Ordinary Creature,” which was written by the band on a summer night in Iceland. Sounds nice!
About the song, the band said: “‘Ordinary Creature’ is about the feeling of yearning for that someone that brings you comfort. It’s about when you start feeling better after a period of not feeling so great. That moment when you start coming back to yourself again and remembering what it’s like to be an ordinary creature.”
The accompanying music video was directed by Erlendur Sveinsson and shows the band moving through the night into morning in their native Iceland, cruising through the coastal town of Selvogur.
