LA alt-punk rockers Militarie Gun have announced that their forthcoming album, God Save the Gun, will be released on October 17 via Loma Vista Recordings. Following last summer’s “Thought You Were Waving,” the project’s second single “B A D I D E A” is out now. The buzzing punk cut features a pummeling bass line, snapping snare drums, razor-sharp guitar melodies, and a balls-to-the-wall vocal performance from the band’s primary songwriter and vocalist Ian Shelton. If you’re wondering why the song is called “B A D I D E A” and not “Bad Idea,” you should listen to the song!

Speaking about the song’s music video, which Shelton directed, he explained: “I wanted to make a video that was a celebration of vices, a new iteration of yourself looking back at a moment you made a mistake while never truly reflecting. This was the most technically challenging video we’ve ever done and it only fits a song spelling out the words ‘bad idea.’”

Check out this good idea below, and pre-order God Save the Gun here.
