Last Friday, Pool Kids continued to usher in the emo-pop revival from their native Florida with the release of their third LP, Easier Said Than Done. Finding a balance between powerful riffs and catchy melodies, the record expands the quartet’s scope beyond anything they’ve produced over the past decade of their existence as a collective.
Before they hit the road next month to support the album on a North American tour, they’re stopping by FLOOD FM this week with a new episode of “Hacked” that sees them highlighting some of their pop-punk influences (Pretty Rude, fellow Floridians Glazed) as well as some of their songwriter faves (Waxahatchee, Marika Hackman), with plenty of experimental post-punk and shoegaze in between. Check out the episode of every day this week (August 18 – 22) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. PT only on FLOOD FM.
