Grace Inspace has returned today with “Meteor,” which marks her first single with her new label home, TODO Records. The track, which features Luna Li and comes with an Iris Kim–directed video, also serves as her first new music since 2023’s Sunshine EP. The track begins with a pleasant acoustic guitar melody and Inspace reaching for an impressive falsetto range before kicking into gear and taking a turn toward the anthemic.
Regarding the song, Inspace said: “‘Meteor’ started as a mantra I would repeat to myself in moments when anxiety or pain felt endless—a reminder that whatever I was feeling was ephemeral and that I shouldn’t cower from it because it would soon subside. I took the skeleton of the song to Luna Li and we sat crosslegged on her bed and fleshed it out, before asking Josh Mehling and Mulherin to turn it into an anthem with their production.
“This song feels like a snapshot of my community in motion,” she continued, “made with people that aren’t just friends but pillars of my everyday life, my chosen family. Making ‘Meteor’ was one of the most joyful, effortless musical experiences of my life. It was my first time making something with almost all of my closest friends, theres no feeling like it in the world and now I can never go back.”
