Ever since releasing their Misery EP last September, Together Pangea have remained fairly prolific. After dropping three loose singles, the LA punks are formally announcing a new album titled Eat Myself today, which will serve as their first full-length release for Nettwerk Music Group when it drops in January. Those aforementioned singles “Little Demon,” “Molly Said,” and “Empty Church”—which lean into the band’s professed love of Deftones and My Bloody Valentine with their heavier feel—will all appear on the project, along with the newly released cut “Like Your Father.”

Compared with those earlier previews, the newest sampling of Eat Myself brings to mind the band’s glistening guitars and pop-hook verses that set them apart from peers like Meatbodies and Wand a decade ago. “The song is about searching for identity and how time will tell you who you are,” shares the band’s William Keegan. “It’s also about being really freaked out about getting older. This was actually one of the first songs I wrote for the new record, and I remember sending it to the band and thinking, ‘Oh my god, they’re not going to like it.’ Turns out they were down, and here we are."

The track’s music video sees the band performing the tune at what looks like a VFW hall before being joined by a man who is almost certainly not Robert De Niro. Decide for yourself below, and pre-save Eat Myself ahead of its January 16 release here.
