On Friday, Manchester post-punks Chameleons are treating us to their first new material in 23 years with Arctic Moon, the band’s seventh studio album since forming in the early 1980s. Additionally, they’ve planned a set of dates for both Europe/the UK and North America to promote the record, with the latter shows kicking off at the end of the month in Seattle and running down the West Coast.
In between these landmark moments for the band they’ll be joining us for a day-long FLOOD FM takeover with a special edition of “Hacked” airing throughout the day this Sunday. The band will share behind-the-scenes stories from their shared history and play some of their favorite music selections, which range from classic post-punk and new wave (The Fall, Sparks) to early ’10s indietronica (Caribou, Blackbird Blackbird).
The episode will air at 7 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. PT on September 14—check it out only on FLOOD FM.
