Leeds-based band Bug Teeth have shared “Thin Circle,” the latest single to be unveiled from their forthcoming LP Micrographia. The track finds the band tapping into their ambient and electronic influences, beginning with a hypnotic synth melody that loops beneath layers of strings and vocals. All the lyrics from the song were taken from H.G. Wells’ novel War of the Worlds.

”‘Thin Circle’ describes a harsher perspective of grief,” the band shares. “It came from a different writing process to the rest of the album. Drawn from Alex and PJ working together, the song is inspired by folk horror, particularly within the vocals. ‘Thin Circle’ takes its lyrics entirely from a copy of War of the Worlds in Alex’s bedroom, and through this it intends to replicate the fear that comes with loss.”

Micrographia will arrive on November 21. Check out “Thin Circle” below, and pre-order the record here.
