As its title suggests, Bob Moses’s upcoming fourth album Blink mulls over tough existential questions of transience and ephemerality: “How do you reconcile the desire to have a meaningful life with the realization that it’s gone in an instant, that you can’t hold onto things for too long?” the duo of Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance queried upon the initial reveal of the record. Despite that thematic heaviness—or perhaps to counter it—the LP is brimming with life and upbeat energy, compiling 10 dance-pop tracks inviting you to make the most of the moment.
With the project slated to drop this Friday, Howie and Vallance will be taking over FLOOD FM all week in the lead-up with a new episode of “Hacked” digging deeper into their synth-centric influences. Tracks from Justice, Daft Punk, SebastiAn, Tiësto, and more land alongside Bob Moses’ own music on the hour-long takeover they recorded, which will air every day this week (October 13 – 17) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. only on FLOOD FM.
