Following a lone self-titled collaborative EP in 2019, C.Y.M. recently returned with a set of singles that preceded today’s release of their (also self-titled) debut full-length. The experimental prog-psych duo made up of Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio and Berlin-based house artist Fort Romeau (a.k.a. Michael Greene) is nearly boundless when it comes to genre influence, with their unique blend of sound additionally welcoming guest spots on the LP from Cherry Glazerr, Day Wave, Nigerian soul artist SOLIS4EVR, and Ghanaian emcee Nana (not to be confused with Nanna, who is also celebrating an album release today).

Alongside the new record, C.Y.M. are sharing a video for their collab with the latter artist, “Catch Me If You Can,” which is an oddly seamless merging of snakey krautrock instrumentation and Nana’s cool flow. Directed by Tom Mull, the clip features the trio performing the track assisted by a live drummer providing the hip-hop beat.
