After confirming a return to the studio at the beginning of last year, there’s still no word on a new album from The xx as of now—though the fact that the trio is set to headline Primavera next year seems fairly promising. Yet each of the band’s members has been busy with solo careers in the meantime, with Oliver Sim most recently dropping a few tracks—including last week’s glowing synth-pop ballad “Telephone Games.”

In honor of the release, Sim will be taking over FLOOD FM this week with a new episode of “Hacked” that sees the artist playing tunes by a handful of vintage synth- and art-pop influences (Pet Shop Boys, The Durutti Column, Depeche Mode) as well as contemporary bangers from Miley Cyrus, Oklou, and The Dare reworking a track by Iceage’s Elias Rønnenfelt. Tune into the episode every day this week (October 20 – 24) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. PT only on FLOOD FM.
