Tycho has teamed up with Paul Banks (of Interpol fame—as well as Banks & Steelz, Muzz, and Julian Plenti, for the real heads) for a new single entitled “Boundary Rider,” out now via Mom + Pop. The swaggering, rock-leaning cut provides a clean backdrop for Banks to showcase his signature haunting vocals that are somehow simultaneously sardonic and deeply affecting.
“Interpol has long been one of my biggest influences so I jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with Paul on a song,” explained Scott Hansen. “‘Boundary Rider’ started life as an atmospheric instrumental song titled ‘Forge’ that I had been working on here and there for a couple of years. When I met Paul and started thinking about what songs might connect with his voice, ‘Forge’ immediately came to mind.”
