Synthpop duo St. Lucia returned at the beginning of 2025 with their second album since signing to Nettwerk at the beginning of the decade, Fata Morgana: Dawn, and as the project’s subtitle may have suggested, it was the first in a series of interconnected albums working within similar themes. On December 5 they’ll release the record’s follow-up companion piece, Fata Morgana: Dusk, which serves as the more electronic yang to the live-band yin released earlier this year as the new record takes inspiration from disco, ’90s club music, and other forms of dance music.

As the record’s singles slowly trickle out, the husband-and-wife duo of Jean-Philip Groblerand Patti Beranek are taking over FLOOD FM this week with a new episode of “Hacked” that reveals their diverse set of influences. Radiohead, Mew, Seal, Geese, and South Africa’s Drakensberg Boys Choir all make appearances on the set list, along with bookending tracks by St. Lucia themselves. Check out the episode every day this week (October 27 – 31) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. only on FLOOD FM.
