Dawes have announced a benefit concert for victims of the tragic Altadena fires that ravaged LA at the beginning of 2025. Set for January 7 at the Pasadena Civic Center, the band will be joined by their friends Jenny Lewis, The Killers’ Brandon Flowers, Jackson Browne, Aloe Blacc, Stephen Stills, Mandy Moore, Brad Paisley, and more, along with hosting sets by Ozomatli and Everclear. The band announced the news in an Instagram post, writing that the event was scheduled for the one-year anniversary of the Eaton Fire. “We’re organizing a night of music to support the Altadena Builds Back Foundation (part of the Pasadena Community Foundation)—helping rally and rebuild the community that’s given us so much.”
Dawes is also featured on FLOOD’s recently announced fire relief benefit compilation Gimme Shelter: Songs for LA Fire Relief, for which they shared their collaboration with Andrew Bird and Alan Hampton, “Time Spent in Los Angeles (for Altadena).” Pre-order Gimme Shelter here, and check out Dawes’ announcement for “A Concert for Altadena” below.
