For nearly a decade now, Harriette Pilbeam has been using her Hatchie moniker to hone her balance of dream-pop and alternative dance music to create something upbeat yet transfixingly ethereal. After gaining traction early in her career by having her single “Sure” remixed by Robin Guthrie of ethereal-wave icons Cocteau Twins, Hatchie has since collaborated with Wild Nothing, Winter, George Clanton, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and more in between releasing three records—including 2022’s baggy-revivalist Giving the World Away and this past week’s third full-length, the more sedated Liquorice.

In honor of that new project, Pilbeam is taking over FLOOD FM this week with a new episode of “Hacked” which sees her spinning tracks by her peers (Winter, Neggy Gemmy), contemporaries (Chanel Beads, Melody’s Echo Chamber), and modern icons of the alt-pop scene (Caroline Polachek, in collaboration with another, very different caroline; Lily Allen’s latest conceptual chapter). Tune into the episode every day this week (November 10 – 14) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. only on FLOOD FM.
