If I Had Legs I’d Kick You/Highest 2 Lowest co-star A$AP Rocky will return to music next week as his new LP Don’t Be Dumb will (allegedly) drop nearly eight years after its predecessor and almost three years after he started teasing it. Despite sharing plenty of enticing singles along the way, today’s reveal of the new track “Punk Rocky” is billed as the first taste of the new record—both bad news for anyone who wanted to hear “Babushka Boy” and that Jessica Pratt song housed on an album and good news for the freaks eager to listen to a full LP built around collaborations with Danny Elfman and Tim Burton.

True to its name, “Punk Rocky” takes more of a full-band approach than what’s previously been heard in the artist’s cloud-rap catalog, though the psych-pop palette is far from the raging punk suggested by the track title. If you watch the Winona Ryder–starring music video with the sound off, Rocky’s garage band looks pretty rowdy, though the megaphone he’s singing into has more of a tranquil Damon-Albarn-in-Gorillaz effect to it. Check it out below, and expect Don’t Be Dumb to drop next Friday.
