“Are you not entertained!?” At least that’s what I imagine Cate Le Bon querying after releasing Michelangelo Dying last year and following that up in early 2026 with a new single featuring St. Vincent. The psych-pop track features slinking drums and warped-out synths beneath Le Bon’s voice, creating a laid back atmosphere that exists throughout the track’s run time. To answer your question, Cate, yes, I am entertained!

“‘Always the Same’ needed a little more elbow room than the album would allow but it is cousin to the song cycle of Michelangelo Dying, coming into formation in the same breath,” Le Bon explained. “Special to me because it features dear friend and mighty artist St. Vincent who occupies the space around me with composure and gravitas whilst I kick around in the dirty waters of love.”
