Gorillaz have unveiled another new track set to be featured on The Mountain, their latest LP slated to arrive February 27 via the band’s KONG label. The band, who are cover stars of FLOOD 13 (purchase here), have shared “Orange County,“ which features Argentine producer Bizarrap, songwriter/poet Kara Jackson, and sitarist Anoushka Shankar. The track serves as the companion track to “The Hardest Thing,” which features a recording of the late Tony Allen. Both songs will be available to purchase on a limited-edition double A-side 7-inch vinyl (available here). Additionally, the group has shared a visualizer featuring the two songs back to back, with “The Hardest Thing” feeding into “Orange County,” the way they were meant to be heard.
Rollout for The Mountain will include a week-long Gorillaz takeover of Los Angeles featuring the Downtown LA opening of their House of Kong exhibit. Pre-order the album here, and find more info about the LA exhibit here.
